  • What do I need to do to help prep my skin before getting the procedure?
PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS TO PROCEDURE Prior to your procedure & to achieve the best results, it is best to follow the pre-care instructions to avoid excessive bleeding and poor color deposit. Start with a good canvas to get your skin ready for the procedure! The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive, and non-irritated. Clients are advised of the following: • Avoid alcohol and Aspirin or Ibuprofen and any vitamins that may thin your blood for 72 hours. • Avoid taking Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior to the procedure (they are natural blood thinners) • Do not work out the day of the procedure. • Do not consume coffee right before your procedure. Eyebrows • Avoid tanning two weeks prior to the service or have a sunburned face so we can assess your natural skin tone. • No face scrubs, chemical peels, or any type of facial 2 weeks prior to the procedure. • Reference pictures of shapes and colors of brows are always welcomed. We will then work together to create the perfect brows! • Do not pick/tweeze/wax/perform electrolysis one week before the procedure. • Do not have Botox 3 weeks prior to the procedure. • Do not wax or tint your eyebrows 3 days prior to the procedure. • Oily skin types, your results WILL appear softer (eyebrows can look solid) in appearance and may require additional procedures. • Darker skin types please note that your permanent makeup will not appear as bold as lighter skin types & that the Hair Strokes and Eyeliners WILL NOT appear as defined due to the skin color already being naturally darker. Eyeliners • Having your eyeliner tattooed will not make them longer or thicker like mascara does, but they will be nice and dark for about 4 weeks. • Discontinue using an eyelash extender product such as LiLash/brow or Latisse until 4 weeks after your touch up session and your eyeliner or brows are complete. These products are incredible and really do work but are so new that we do not know how they will affect your tattooed color, so don’t take any chances! • Emu oil is a wonderful skin conditioner, but do not use Emu oil as your sealant, because it may cause your pigment color to bleed or migrate.
